RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands, promotes, and models Primrose School of Plainfield's vision, purpose and mission.
- Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers.
- Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe.
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
- Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, open houses, and school functions/events.
- Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior in adhering to the guidelines offered in the Employee Handbook.
- Actively develops and maintains positive staff relationships and parent partnerships and manages all resources effectively
- Trains new staff per Primrose standards, ensuring that each staff fully understands Primrose Schools’ philosophy and all policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, Teacher, Food Service Teacher, and Bus Driver.
- Develop programs designed to involve the parents and community in school activities.
- Conduct tours of the school and interact with children and parents about programs/curriculum
- Assists the Director with necessary management responsibilities to manage all aspects of the school including business management, campus environment, and marketing.
- Assists the Director with to achieve maximum enrollment and effective cost management.
- Assumes responsibility to manage operation of the school in the Director's absence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be Director Qualified and meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience and 2 years of classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childcare facility
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly professional and dependable
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet
- Previous professional experience highly preferred
- A philosophy that puts children first.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
